Tavistock Library is open on Wednesday afternoons for the winter until the end of March. Every week we will be having drop-in sessions where you can try different ways to avoid materials reaching landfill. We have been turning worn out books and paper into flowers; we are offering advice and practice on mending techniques which create fashion statements with visible effects and we will be creating samples to help you make your first rag rug. With ideas from turning worn out shopping bags into waterproof outdoor bunting to updating furniture with decoupage – and books to give you endless ideas! Everyone is welcome, younger and older, to drop in between 2pm and 5.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon.
