Robert Weston has served as the Minister for Tavistock United Reformed Church since August 2017, having previously served for 14 years at Park United Reformed Church in Reading, Berkshire. Robert is delighted to be serving Tavistock United Reformed Church as it is a place where all people should feel included; we aim to be both an inclusive and progressive congregation. Robert is passionate about the challenge of climate chaos and how we can all be more environmentally friendly. As an Eco Church congregation we have achieved the Silver Award and are actively working towards the Gold Award.

Robert is a part-time Minister and is one of the leadership team that includes three elders, all of whom bring a wealth of experience to their roles. Together the Minister, Elders and Church Members are responsible for the worship, pastoral care and mission of the church – recognising that each one of us has a God given part to play in the world.

Within Tavistock, Robert is actively involved in Tavistock Area Christians Together, the Tavistock Foodbank, the Tavistock Heritage Trust Visitor Information Centre, Tavistock Peace Action Group and the Tavistock Fairtrade Steering Group.

In addition to his role as Minister at Tavistock United Reformed Church, Robert is also a part-time Interim Minister at Lavington United Reformed Church in Bideford.
