Lower Deck Cafe

Introduction

The Lower Deck Café is a not-for-profit service that the church offers to the local community, providing good value lunches and refreshments every Friday from 10.00am until 2.00pm. The café is run by volunteers from the church and the local community, some volunteers are helped back to work.

The Menu

The menu is subject to change but includes regular items such our homemade ‘special of the day’, all day breakfast and a soup of the day. We serve tea, coffee (instant or cafetière) and hot chocolate, you can choose between a cup or a mug. There is a choice of desert, which includes home-made apple crumble and a selection of home made cakes.

Volunteering

All our volunteers are interviewed and we take up references to ensure that each volunteer has the necessary skills to work in the café environment. If you would like to volunteer or find out more about the work involved, please contact Stella Rasdall by email: stellarasdall@gmail.com
